Xestius

Wellp, it's been one hell of a rough road for me the past two months... My graphics card died just after Thanksgiving, leaving me without my proper workspace for a month. I finally get it fixed up on XMas, and next thing you know, a week later... My large intuos5 dies. Why? Because the micro USB port died. Why did it die? Because of those stiff braided cables constantly giving it hell. Funny story about that, actually... This cable was ALSO responsible for my mechanical keyboard dying. What is it about the holiday season that makes EVERYTHING break?

So, as you can gather, I'm a little set back. the 5's getting sent in, fortunately it's less than a year old. Right now, I've reverted to my old intuos3 4x6... I try not to blame my tools, but holy damn. I forgot how cramped this felt. I'm still trying to get reaccustomed, and its been a week. However, I'm kind of glaring at Wacom right now... My intuos3, the old scratched up thing it is, STILL works. I've had it for 6-7 years... My intuos5 was at least twice the price, and lasted less than a year. Not to mention, I've been looking at Monoprice tablets lately. Their 'intuos large' equivalent is a fifth as expensive, and has more hotkeys... Sure, it has no touch, and only 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity (opposed to 2048 on the intuos5), but the difference is less noticeable then you'd think. Also, THE DRIVERS! They are reportedly *not* awful, much unlike Wacom... But I already have two tablets right now, and work's been scarce.

That being said, IF I get something done with this, I'll be uploading... It's at the very least been a good back-to-basics for me. On the downside, I feel like the slump just gets worse and worse...

Ugggh, this literally took me all night, but I've got all of them up. Between trying to make the tags as accurate as possible, editing, hunting through all my SAI and TIFF layers in case I missed things... It's finally done. These are all sketches and works from my old account before I made this dedicated adult account from the beginning of the year on. So, if you'd like, it's ALL there. I have a headache x.x Also, every single piece has been organised by type and quality. I'll just summarize, since I'm not sure who watches scrapbooks:

The Scrap hierarchy:

Compilations *7 new, 2 moved from main* - Sketches probably not worth their own image file for one reason or another, packed into a big image.
Sequences * 3 new* - Sketches of varying quality, progressions included.
Animations *4 new* - Very rough animations, quality ranging from semi-detailed to almost not at all.
Incomplete, Old, or just 'dunno' *13 new* - Pieces I've either posted before on my old account before deleting, or were completed elsewhere and not quite up to par with the main folder (some may be moved to main, haven't decided yet)
Sketches
'clear' *20 new, 1 moved*      - Most details can be made out
'unrefined' *16 new* - Details there, but a step below refined enough to be near the lineart or color phase.
'flawed or missing parts' *4 new*- sketches with flaws so glaring, you just can't look away... Usually meaning disproportionate arms, undetailed hands (more so than usual), or hair half-drawn.
Anthros *3 new* - Furries, yiffingthingies, whatever the hell you want to call 'em. They're there. Ranges from 'sketch' to 'incomplete'

Also, in case anyone was wondering... I know there are works in the main gallery I'd consider incomplete by my standards, but I post them there because I have every intention of completing them, I like them for whatever reason, and would like the whole watchlist to see and comment on if they can.

Oh, one other thing, speaking of watchers - I don't often get to thanking you all for the compliments, watches, and favorites, and I'm sorry if you were expecting one :<. But I do appreciate you gentry and lasses, the attention keeps me from abandoning my work, so please accept my thanks for now.

As for requests and trades, they ARE still closed for now... I want to get all my projects out of the way prior to reopening. 'Artist anxiety' hits for months at a time, and has left me quite a workload... I need to get my stylus moving.

Hm, I'm close to 1k... Lemme know if you get it peeps, maybe once this semester ends, I'll draw you a good time. After I finish those requests I got... Good lawd.

Speaking of which, I'll use the journals all generic-like here, for the folks with requestation. I'll just be a coupla more weeks now while I get gangraped by finals... :'<
